Before You Begin:

The registration process requires businesses to provide DASNY with information pertaining to location, legal structure, ownership, goods and services, revenue, insurance, trade associations and work history. Here are some suggestions to help you prepare to submit your application.

Ensure Eligibility Requirements Are Meet

Ensure your company meets the eligibility requirements listed on the About Registry page.

Gather Required Documentation / Information

Gather any applicable required documentation in advance:

1) Owner Resume(s)

A resume for each shareholder and officer, partner, owner and for each person employed in a position of responsibility.

2) Insurance Coverage

A list of insurance coverage including, type of insurance, coverage limits and insurance company

3) Construction Contractor Business Information

Information pertaining to bond limits, union affiliations and trade licenses.

4) Professional Business License and Trade Association Information

Information pertaining to professional business licenses and trade associations

5) Company Work History

Summaries of three (3) projects either completed or in progress within the past five (5) years.

Important:

DASNY is not a New York State Certifying Agency. Registration with DASNY does not take the place of obtaining New York State certification as a MWBE or SDVOB.

New York State MWBE Certification must be granted by the Empire State Development, Division of Minority and Women-Owned Businesses. New York State Certification is now an online process. To become New York State Certified as a Minority or Women Owned Enterprise go online to the New York State Contract System.

New York State SDVOB certification must be granted by the Office of General Services. For more information about SDVOB eligibility and certification requirements please go to https://ogs.ny.gov/veterans
